If you want the best of both worlds one of the Cobra builders over here (Dax) make a Caterham lookalike that takes a V8. It's called a Dax Rush and a hot one will hit 60 in less than 4 seconds! A number of people here also fit high end motorbike engines and some have fitted two engines into one car. Two Fireblade engines (at around 140 horse power each) in a vehicle that weighs around half a ton leads to some pretty exciting motoring! It probably equals the power to weight ratio of 750HP's monster.
