I have an older EM.The car has a solid tunnel at present.The top loader trans will not come out without removing clutch ,bell housing and flywheel.I currently have to remove driveline and shifter and stuff the trans as farr back as possible and block tail housing down and then remove clutch and flywheel. I next remove the scattersheild and twist it in the tunnel and bring trans and scattersheil down together.Not fun .I'm considering cutting the fiberglass tunnel top out and replacing it with an alluminum peice.The interioris going to be redone with a nice carpet anyway. Removing the trans through top of the tunnel would make life a lot easier.Any suggestions?
