After an "experience " attempting to register, then obtained the official regulations from the DMV. In Connecticut kit cars are referred to as Composite and the CT DMV has a separate set of regulations for the inspection and registration process

Suggest you consider obtaining from the AZ DMV their specfic regulations. Elected not to use any type of Title service to prevent any future problems, followed CT DMV regulations for a 100% legal approach.
