Thanks guys,

The engine hasn't been balanced so I'm not expecting it to be over-smooth but my concern is that sometimes it's a smooth as silk and at others it feels like it's going to shake itself apart. its just as if the clutch is being clamped off-centre when I release the pedal.
the flywheel bolts are all the same (ARP)
The spigot bearing is brand new and was perfect when I put it in
Sorry, I don't understand bellhousing to transmission runout, could you explain for a simpleton like me please...
