Series 2 or 3 XJ6. Series 1 hasn't got the 4 pot callipers. I went for a series 3 front end from memory but there isn't much difference between 2 and 3.
Bushes and bearings are cheap. Upper ball joints are in the region of $120 each though. Lower ball joints can be repacked and shimmed to take out any play. Rebuild kits are about $40 each from memory.
Speak to Gary at Jagayre, down here in Clayton for decent prices on most of the replacement parts. He did a good deal for me.
