I use one of those el-cheapo hand pump thing-a-ma-jigs to bleed my brakes and change fluid...... Seems after a few months of use I can alsways tell when the "fresh" fluid is coming out....it is always clearer than the old fluid even if the old fluid is not that old....

I start bleeding with the furthest wheel from the master cylinder then work my way in. I bleed the first one down as low as I dare without running the master cylinder dry and add fluid as needed,when clear fresh fluid starts coming out,I then switch to the next wheel....BTW,when you get to this point the next wheel will take less fluid to flush it out as your brake line has already been flushed,you are now replacing the fluid in the caliper and soft brake line only...

Again, I have had no problem telling old fluid from new by color..... Sometimes even fairly fresh fluid will be almost the color of Coke-a-Cola when it first comes out of the cailper.....
