Ike,

Sorry - at home so no diagram today...

If you want to be able to crank the engine with the ignition OFF:
Run a wire from the BAT terminal of the ignition switch to the starter button.
Remove the wire from the ST terminal of the ignition switch and attach to the other side of the starter button.

If you want to be able to crank the engine only when the ignition is ON:
Run a wire from the IGN or ACC terminal of the ignition switch to the starter button.
Remove the wire from the ST terminal of the ignition switch and attach to the other side of the starter button.
