Ron,

Whenever you replace rod/crank/piston assemblies with non-OEM, exact replacement parts, or you're rebuilding a grocery getter motor for more strenuous use; always have it balanced. Best if you balance with flywheel and crank damper so it all spins correctly when you button it back up.
