We ran ours on "DFM" Diesel fuel Marine. But most commercial outfits run them on heavy
oil which has to be heated to around 200 deg F to even be pumped. It can be cut with light
oil. The down fall to this
oil is it is dirty. You score liners, and clog injectors. Let me tell ya, its not fun cleaning 3ft tall injectors, and if they get scored, forgetaboutit.....its off the the manufacturer as they are all lapped and matched parts!
