You guys are right on.
I still can't figure out why ford racing puts "high rpm only" intakes on the crate engines, but to make that magical HP number for the catalogue.
My buddy Dalola pulled the 460 open plenum off his classic roadsters and replaced it with a dual plane... HELLO TORQUE!
I would say from the port geometry and some desktop dyno runs, that the performer rpm or rpm air gap are the way to go, don't forget to check hood clearance.
