Mine just does it when turning on the ignition then it settles out. Seems strange it is intermittent and unplugging the transmitter (hall effect) clears it up for a time. Sometines I have found when having strange problems it will end up being a poor ground somewhere. I am using a Ford sending unit. The VDO would not fit into my Tremec transmission.
