I think that Earl Wade who used to tune for "Dyno" Don Nicholson was very good at setting up the cammer.
I saw their car run at Irwindale Raceway and it was very impressive to say the least.
There was also a Top Fuel car at Indy just a few years ago with one on it. I think the guys name was Chuck Seyler.
He was still convinced that the cammer would run with the Mopar Hemi and it did run very well to be as out of date as it was and of course he was very low buck.
Given the money and the time for development I believe that it could be competitive especially with the gear dive instead of the chain.
