Interesting exercise.

Racing cars need this kind of engine - as has been said by others.

For the street I like an engine that can idle past with the rear tires smoking.....a torque monster.

Revs cost big money - not just in initial outlay but in maintenance. Remember the old saying "there is no substitute for cubic inches". In racing, of course, there is no substitute for cubic dollars.
