1953 sounds about right for the "Blue Flame" new Chev 6 with inserts and all.

In 1969 when Grampa's 51 Chev engine "died" we couldn't find a shop who could redo the babbit bearings on the motor. We decided to "up-grade" to the newer 235.

Hey, how about those 292 Chev 6's? Now THERE was a power house of a motor!
