FYI, make sure you machine the bottom of the bellhousing below the lower mounting bolts. I have a McCloud behind a 351W (Canton 7 qt pan) and 3550 and the damn think hangs up on everything from speed bumps to putting a trench in my trailer. I think if you grind about an inch off the bottom or even with the tranny you should be fine.
