"Better car" is a relative term in my opinion. The M5 is an awesome car but I have to agree that it and the Porsche don't get as many "about face's" as do the Cobra's. Secondly, a proplerly built Cobra like that of many of the builders (JBL at
www.jblmotor.com or HDR at
www.hdrcoupe.com) with all of it's finely finished detail will awe the best of drivers not only in performance but in looks in detail, fit and finish as well. Just look at the pics at either of these two sites and anyone that is the slightest "gearhead" will be saying, "Holy Sh!t"!
The bottom line, for me at least, is knowing that I can work on a cobra. I couldn't tell you what hoses are what in a new car of any type. At least I don't get robbed for a $400 tune up at the dealership. I pull out the plugs and tweak the carb with a screwdriver and just listen for the proper song.
