A lot of you guys are beginning to sound like old fogeys....you can take any of the comments made here, change the car to 'TBucket
and fit right in a past generation. Change it to 'Hot Rod' and fit right in to the 50's. It's really odd for a bunch of 'car guys' to be so negative on 'car kids'. What do you want them to do...go buy a 55 Chevy to work with so you can relate? Let's own up...the Honda civic IS THE 55 Chevy of TODAY! Let's not forget that a lot of these kids actually work on their own cars, which is saying a lot more than just having a wallet big enough to pay somebody else to build a great car. If a few of you would stow the attitude for awhile and go out to meet some of these kids, you'd find out that most are preety good kids. And yes, tastes change, but a fast, clean car is STILL a fast, clean car. I may not like it, but I can appreciate the effort.
