Cranky, you need to realize some of us actually race, and race modern stuff and old stuff. That said, if I faced the dilemna of wanting to go balls out and drive a Cobra and my budget was 70-80K, I'd buy a used Winston Cup Car for HSCRA and one of the many used Replicas that are out there for the choosing at $30K or so. Or maybe do a Shelby spec/Kirkham and enjoy running at 9.5 tenths. Option 1 is nice as I always have at least have half of the 70-80 in the garage--unless mykid figures out what a cut-off switch is
