Default Water Restrictor Plug
If you do not have a thermostat, you MUST have the "water restrictor" plug in the block of a 351C - it is located beneath the thermostat, and looks basically like a gutted thermostat. If you do not have the restrictor, your Cleveland will pump water through the radiator so fast that it does not have time to dissipate the heat.
