I get asked occasionally too, but can't recall any insulting way guys have inquired how much my SPF cost. So i tell them with no hesitation "about $50K as it sits here."

I tend to wonder when they are admiring my car "is there any way i could ever manage to get one like this?", so the question is not offensive to me.

I guess in my profession, i ask folks really personal questions all day long, so i am not likely to be offended by anyones else's personal question of me.
