Jason my man... I'll post my reply here as a message in a bottle to any Vermonters who may pass this way in the future:
So far, I know that VT DMV will accept a Manufacturers Certificate of Origin (sometimes called an "MSO") to register the vehicle. They will not title it. In my case (Shelby CSX 4775) I'm all set I believe. Hope.
Inspection, so far, I'm not that knowledgeable about. There was a guy on this forum who had a "427 Contemporary Classic - Factory Built By Contemporary" over in Barre-- he was able to get his inspected, so I think we both are ok on that front.
