Don't feel bad. I spent half an hour researching my remote setup before I hooked it up. And I had the diagram that came with it showing which line is the in and which is the out and the block and remote adapter were both marked with an in and out whith an arrow pointing that way. Iam easily confused and my remote filter mounting has 4 in and out lets. That way, depending on how you have to mount it for space you can come in either side and go out either side and then it had plugs to screw in and block off the two ports not used. I did know that with just the filter on the block, it went back into the motor throught the middle hole, but did I ever wonder about that remote set up. I finally had a man that does them come over to my house and check what I had done and he said I had it correct. A very rare occurance in my case.
