A couple of points on the Mini Nats. I helped coordinate the Drag Race at the Mini Nats this year. It was a big hit with all the members and the guest. Your correct Cal Metal, that's Tony Stohr in the picture. Super nice guy who is still active in cars. Mostly Hot Rods, no Shelby's. Tony went down the track in the Dragon Snake he use to race and it ran very poorly that day but still made it down the track if I remember correctly in under 13 seconds.
Rich Masons Flip Top, an incredible car was damaged when he spun out at the Monterey historics when Dick Smith (#198) blew and
oil line in the last turn before the main straight. I hope I remebered that correctly as well.
