For me there were two major Get Aways.....

I missed out on a nice very early 1950's Jaguar XK-120 about 1981 or 20 years ago. By the time I got the "go ahead" from my significant better half, the auto had flown the coupe' as it were. Just too late. My fault. Had to learn to act quick and ask forgiveness later.

To add insult to injury, just a few years later, I had my 63 Corvette Split Window Coupe stolen from me out of a garage in about 1984. It was totally stock and real nice with very low miles.
Never recovered. Insured but a true loss. I cannot stand looking at them now.... A feeling of suspicion is always there...
