THe HR manifold is about 2 - 3 inches taller than nearly every other (about 4 -5 more than a LR) FE manifold. To me, it visually stands out due to the height. It was the second iteration of FE design and required the tear-drop hood scoop for clearance. Ford went to the MR design primarily to eliminate the giant hood scoop required by the HR.
