Default sc hoods

The hole in the SC hoods were all made in England before the cars were shipped over here, as they were intended to be comp cars at that time with 1x4. They left the hole as-is when they stuffed the 2x4 MR engines in the SC cars. In fact, a friend with an SC car is the original owner (I believe the only original owner SC car left) and it came with foam under the hood around the hole to seal against the turkey pan (which it didn't have). This foam hit one or both of the twin Stellings aircleaners of his 2x4 setup as SA didn't bother to remove it when they sent the car out the door. The 1x4 setups are common, yes, but that doesn't in any way mean the cars were delivered that way - many people just prefer the lower level of sophistication needed to get the car running well with 1x4 (and they probably like to emulate real comp cars). You are obviously free to believe anything you like.
