OK guys, first post on your forum (but regular contributor to UK club forum) so take it easy on me!
RAM (and L&R - same company different name), run by a guy called Adrian Cocking, were major replica manufacturer in the UK in the 80s and early 90s.
Chassis is indeed designed by Adrian Reynard (of race car fame) and is a semi-spaceframe backbone construction. Body was either composite or all aluminium (if you had enough money) and is fully removable after build. For info there was also a Jaguar D type body which fitted the same chassis/running gear. This is still in manufacture (see
http://www.realm-eng.freeserve.co.uk/realm/cars1.html ) although the Cobra body is not to the best of my knowledge.
The cars were originally the most original looking replica you could buy in the UK and were 'approved' by Carroll Shelby and cars were granted CSX6xxx chassis numbers.
I have just posted a few pictures of mine in your gallery should you wish to have a look. Not too original in the interior though!
