BYOTS, I've seen a picture of that intake on a cobra recently, I believe the owner was in europe somewhere. I can't remember where I saw that picture though.
I also saw a picture from SA, and I thought I saw in the back ground an engine for the TURD, which I believe was supposed to be a highriser with 58mm webers mounted like a 289 intake.
FWIW, I measured the carb height of a HR 1X4 intake, and it is only 1/2" taller than the carb pad on the Blue Thunder MR 1X4 intake, measured from the top edge of the block.
The sidewinder intake doesn't have much longer runners than the MR 1X4, I believe the sidewinder intake has 8 equal length runnners, which the standard MR 1X4 doesn't have.

"After jumping into an early lead, Miles pitted for no reason. He let the entire field go by before re-entering the race. The crowd was jumping up and down as he stunned the Chevrolet drivers by easily passing the entire field to finish second behind MacDonald's other team Cobra. The Corvette people were completely demoralized."
