I own a WRX and love the AWD.
ESX Motorsports makes a 740hp WRX do the 1/4 in 9.6 seconds. Just image if the car weighed 500-800 pounds lighter (like a Cobra).
I've done some research on the WRX and Evolution drivetrains and concluded that the 4cyl engines sit to far forward and are to tall to fit under a stock looking Cobra body. The WRX engine is actually in front on the front wheels which would leave no room for the radiator. Maybe the drive train from an old AWD turbo/intercooled V6 GMC Cyclone or Typhoon would work better.
