I agree with Mikiec and Fox. The hobby is a lot more enjoyable with everything out in the open. Also, imo, it is much more enjoyable with her involved.
My car is still on order, but I can't wait for the day that she can go for her own little cruise to enjoy the car on her terms. I know she is going to come back with a big grin on her face, which means - she gets it, she now understands why I 'seem so obsessed with the Cobra'.
Which, in the long run, makes my life easier (and more enjoyable).
I did have to make some initial concessions to get the car, but bargaining is all part of it and she has been completely supportive.
