Hi all
Nothing like a good Thread to get people fired up..
Is this original? - is a question I have been asked on numerous occassions since having my car on the road.
Considering its still in Gel coat my answer to this - silly - question is obviously no.
Is it a replica or a kit car? - is also one asked by those who know someone or have a so called original in their garage
I am now certain that you guys really do not have any idea of how many original cars there is in existance. I am positive I have turned up dozens alone here in Australia. All original and all worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.
All in garages in your suburb. No doubt you have heard it all before.
"..no its is an original for sure its in my neighbours shed"
CSX ...... has now been found and in this guys garage or neighbours garage.
I guess what I 'm saying here is there are plenty of owners out there - or here - telling on lookers that they are looking at genuine Cobras.
Well mine is not a kit car. I used a race company to build a chassis and purchased a body else where. Its my replica and my interpretation of what I think a 2003 Cobra would have been like if this all took place today and not in 1966.
As original as I can get it but with a very modern race suspension, braking setup etc.
Who knows - I'm sure there are people out there who will argue that this guy in Mt. Gambier has an original Cobra.
Just like my friend who watched the 'Bad Boys' DVD and raced to tell me that they ran an original Cobra into an airport fence. What a budget these movie guys must have.
Hell I'm having fun and who cares.
Cheers
