Since I'm an avid bicyclist,I'll use a classic spoked wheel as my perception of the Industry as a whole.I think Shelby's cars will always be at the center, and rightfully so,the "hub"if you will. All the other manufacturers are at the end of the spokes(no nipple jokes, guys),and the rim is the client base for these cars revolving around the hub.The hub doesn't need the spokes or the rim to roll, but would never roll as far or as fast without them. The replica industry would have a pretty hard time going any one direction without the hub as reference to keep it true, and the bending or loss of a spoke causes a wobble to the whole market for the car is it readjusts. The really cool part is that the wheel just became even more high performance as the hub got lighter(new $42k CAV Cobra). It's an exciting time as the competition revs up again to bring even better and more reasonably priced cars to an expanding market. Now back to Machineman's original question-why did everyone choose there car over all others?
