Stever,,
While I agree it is up to everyone to make the best of whatever situation arises......a man with a 20 year career does not start over and hop back on the bus in a week or two......
....when the last "housecleaning" took place in the early 80's millions of downsized Americans lost their homes and families....then finished their golden years serving at jack in the box.........
To avoid this the next time , the drill was "get a Technical education"..... so now people with 4 to 6 year degree's in computor science are finding their jobs .....G.O.N.E....thats right, our best and brightest....soon serving dinner near you....
..or should they get back to college at the age of 35/40 for another 4 years......and what ingenious carreer should they embark upon that wont be sold out the back door before they are out of school!
The other half of this plays out badly as well.............1/2 of All Americans- by definition- are below average IQ....1/2..!!
What should they do when all the mill and manufacturing jobs they have held for centuries disappear overseas...??? what are these non-geniusses going to do .......sell Coffee..?? how does welfare sound......or massive government intervention like the WPA......
This is a dangerous game of musical chairs.......and you know how that game comes out.
