Hi Bernie,

I used to use steel wool in my motorcycle mufflers but it rusts out in no time and makes a horrible mess. I then went to fiberglass wool and it lasted a bit better but it eventually packs itself down one end of the muffler or blows out.

DiFilippo use stainless steel swarf for packing their high performance mufflers. Being stainless it isn't going to rust or break down easily. I'm going with stainles swarf wrapped in fiberglass as per Darrens reccomendation. You should maybe give Darren a call and see if he can source some for you.

If you are going to be at Mcdonad Bros tomorrow Boxhead and I might pay you a visit. I'll bring one of my sidepipes with me if you like.
