FYi... My special construction vehicle has a 69' engine. The BAR assigned it a bar code. This code tells the smog station (every two years) what I am required to have on the engine. Vac adv.
dist., choke stove, T-stat heat riser air cleaner, PCV, no open vented valve cover. The
oil fumes need to be taken from the valve train and circulated through the carb. Each time I take it in, it is interpeted differently. No big deal. It is all bolt on, take back off stuff. My advice to you, if you already have the bar code sticker in your engine compartment, go to the local smog station and ask the employee to interpet the coded sticker for you. Then you can figure out what you need to do from that point on. If it has been registered previoulsy then you probably have the sticker attached somewhere in the engine bay. Sometimes I wish I would have just outright cheated them all and originally registered the car with a bogus title from one of those "back of the magizine" adds for a BS title.
