The car looks pretty nice to me. I would check to see that the motor is correct for the car. Also check for rust (bottom of doors, etc.) Checking the Shelby registry may provide some further insight about the car. I have a recently restored black with A/C GT-500KR convertable. It is sure fun to drive a convertable. Most people have never seen a Shelby convertable. I would think that you could buy it and drive it for a few years and recoup your cost and then some. Not much risk that I can see. Just don't try to fully restore it (NOS parts) or you can easily spend some serious dollars that you may not be able to realize on sale. I bought at a good time and have some good friends that helped in the restoration. Otherwise it could have gotten out of hand in a hurry. Good luck!
