Every piece of safety equipment has a small percentage of flukes or failures. But the odds are greatly increased with their use.

I personally know a fellow who was involved in an accident BECAUSE of airbags going-off on a bad road. Likewise, with seatbelts and helmets. One can always find an isolated example of safety equipment causing more harm than good.

I REALLY appreciate this post, since it is so difficult to keep-up with changes in laws.
