I didn't spend $xx,xxx for a grage or trailer queen.

It's an absolute ball to drive, and with top sidewindows, heater, can be driven almost year round. No snow, and no salted roads after snowfall.

But this car gets attention wherever it goes. I worked at an airbase and the G.I.s were always asking questions, asking me to open the hood. Finally wrote a spec sheet about the car, and taped to the passenger side sun visor.

Now I work at a hi rise near the Pentagon with secure parking in the basement. Lots of other high end cars down there also. At lunch time, and the end of the day, there 's always a little crowd looking it over. It's a humbling experience.

The only time it's not fun is creepy - creepin along at 0 - 5 MPH.
