I think what is happening with the legend, Carroll Shelby is this;
We want to remember him with a life time batting average of
.300 and not to end up watering down his almost mythical status
by staying in the game and retiring with a dismal life time batting
average of .250. Too many icons don't know when to call it quits
and just relish in the fact that they went out as a winner. I hate to see
him put his name on everything. Money I guess. I want to remember him as the bib overall 1959 Le Mans winner, chicken
rancher turned world racing champion, Ferrari killing, super smart
hero.
