Wilf,

First off, when is the last time you looked at an original AC Ace of that time period? Second, of course they had to make adjustments to the frame to accomidate the V8 engine, that is not in question. What is in question is the basic body shape (aka: from the original trade dress lawsuit). I've helped people install SBF engines in TR6's, and yes, that too was not a bolt in affair, as it required the addition of crossmembers to accomidate the engine and transmission.
