Thanks for the story Hal, Every time I go on a drive with a bunch of car guys, at least one or two of them bring a modern sportscar, whether it be a Porsche, Ferrari, a Corvette or a Viper. I have ridden many of these and driven them as well. I almost fall for buying one of them for the sheer comfort, especially the air conditioning in summer and windows that shut tight keep me warm in the winter and the ability to carry on a conversation without shouting. But like you, when I climb back into my Cobra I am reminded of why these cars are great. They have character and have become close to me like an old friend. As far as girls and shopping go, my wife has a black-belt in shopping, so I don't even try to find out how much she's spending. Like my late mom, she has many shoes, many many shoes, kind of like my tools. Tools I've never used or used only once.
