302 bore

Hello all,
I will take delivery of my LA Exotic on Monday. The test drive was unbelievable. I have never gone from 0-80 that fast, even in my 1970, 440, 6 pack Challenger. The engine is a Ford Motorsport 302 yielding 330hp at the rear wheheels. I mean, it was scary! I have been told that once I get past this speed threshold,mentally, the only way is up. Would it make sense to incrementally bore the 302 block to ?, and add EFI to increase hp and performance. I have a Mustang 2 front suspension with a solid, slip differential rear. I want a "sleeper" using a 302. The big block will come later.

Why spend the $$ upgrading a sb if your future plan is a bb? Save your pennies, learn to drive the sb then upgrade to the bb. How many HP do you need on the street anyway? Unless you race you never get the benefit of all that hp on the street...other than bragging rights...or ......

I have a 302 EFI that was dynoed at 305 rwhp. Most cars on the street can not keep up with it. But I'm installing a 354 ci stroker kit. I hope to get 360 - 370 rwhp. Like they say, once you get use to the power, you want more. If you have the money go with a stroked 428/461 KC 600 hp motor. That should keep you happy for a long time.

I like a small block and will stay with it in this Cobra, but the next Cobra ---BB
