I've got a GT40 intake on my 351W but had height clearance problems. I had to put a wider scoop on the bonnet and this was after machining about 6 mm off the intake flange. I think you'll be OK with a 5.0L though. There's a few guys running this set up with no issue (e.g. Peter Duncan).
