MY car came with a Dove tunnel wedge 2x4s. The height and 2x4s makes air cleaners a restriction, espcially with out a big scoop. If I were doing it all from scratch. I may not have chosen an FE.I wouldn't have chossen a 2x4.If carbruated it would have been an intake that would have accepted a 4500 series Holley or Demon. Lastly if I didn't have any induction to start with,I would have just chosen a multi port fuel injection system.Either a converted single four intake with a large airdoor or a Weber look-a-like fuel injection conversion.
A trueism of HotRodding is the wilder you go in any area, the more other parsts need to be modified to get the improved effect. A big carb needs a better cam ,valves ,exhaust ,air cleaner, etc.
