Well I fitted my engine with standard (old style) mounts today and the engine still does not fit. Too high by about 40mm.

Its a lot better than it was with the AUII mounts. But still, bummer.

There are currently 3 main points of contact with the bonnet.
1) The throttle sensor which sits on top of the throttle body.
2) The Front of the drivers side of the intake manifold.
3) The Coil Packs? I think thats what they call them.

In addition to tis the oil filter is currently pressing into the supporting front end. I will need to get a shorter oil filter just to keep it at this height let alone getting it lower.

These modern EFI's must be pretty high. Even if I can lower the motor I think I'll have to investigate a new oil pan as I think the engine will sit too close to the road.

A friend told me that the coil packs can be remotely mounted so I guess that takes care of contact point number 3. Anybody bot suggestions for points 1 & 2?

I will email DRB toinght to see what they suggest.

Any ideas welcome guys
