Keith,
I understand your frustration with the old school mentality that a lot of folks have in the way they build FEs. I have been dealing with this dynamic for many years. All I have to do nowdays is to start are drag car, describe what has been done to the motor, and its settled. When I got in business 4 years ago, I was amazed at the antiquated approach to FEs, especially with some of the car builders. But progress goes on. Lets all remember that back in the late 60's and early 70's , any medium or hi-riser 427 would kill a L88 427 Chevy. If Ford would have pursued the 427 after '72, FEs would have been a mass cult following all through the years!!
