We may be talking about the same animal here, but I'd recommend the Kirky Basic Drag seat. I've used these on two race cars, one of which demanded the seat be secured directly to the floor pan to give adequate head space for me, a tall driver. The more important factor however, is that the Basic Drag doesn't have side wings that are so large as to be a factor in catching a shift, like the wider winged seats do. Once you bang your elbow on a side wing with a hard 1st to 2nd shift you'll know of what I speak.
