I'm 6'2 and dropped my SPF seat by removing the seat adjuster. It worked out great.

I removed the adjusters and replace them with 1/8" x 1" strip stock. The strip stock bolts up to the seat as the adjusters did and then put bolts down through the strip stock that will mount through the original mounting holes in the floor. I also put 1/2" spacers under the front mounts to give the seat a little tilt rearward.

After two years and 10,000 miles, I am still very happy with this modification.
