DMV does not inspect or ask to see your car or even care if you have a car, as long as you have the paper work (MSO) and additional documentation for major components and pay the taxes for your future car. That is ALL they want.
You will get your SB-100 number right there and then.
They have streamlined the process wonderfully to take your tax and registration money.
Then iit gets tough. CHP, BAR, Brake and Light etc.
