Thats encouraging, on my last Cobra with BB 454 Injected 650+ I would go racing (two days) and come home take out the Jaguar hub axles and big twist in them! It had a locked 9" IRS setup, I think the locked axle contributed to the axles demise, so I should move on from those experiences.
My alloy 8.8 is "IRS" and the CV joints appear to be quite strong with customade axles.
Going to all alloy 392/408 appeals to me as it would be a shame to not get as much bang for a small amount more weight, how do you find under bonnet clearance with going to a high deck block and maybe a manifold similar in height to a victor junior or suchlike, the downside is minimal room for any sort of air cleaner?
